Dear Parent/Guardian,
It is time to nominate parents to serve on the PTO for the 2024-2025 school year. The executive board consists of the following officers: president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer. Nomination period will be April 22 through April 26th. Elections will take place April 29th through May 3, 2024 at MES.
Nomination Requirements
-Nominations will be taken for: President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
The requirements to be considered eligible to run for executive board shall be the same as the requirements to vote in executive elections. Candidate must be a Parent or Legal Guardian of a child currently attending MES.
-Nominations will be confirmed via telephone from MES. Should a nominee not be available to be reached during the confirmation period, the nomination will be considered void.
-Nominees may only run for one position. In the event that a candidate is nominated for multiple positions, they must choose the position that they intend to seek during confirmation, thus removing their candidacy from the other positions.
-Candidates shall be allowed to prepare a 500 word or fewer synopses to be included in school communications.

To be considered for a nomination, you must have a student enrolled at MES for the 24/25 school year. If you wish to nominate someone or yourself, you may call the school between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. or you can email the name to: tammy.wilburn@greenup.kyschools.us
Each parent nominated will be notified to either accept or reject the nomination. The nomination period will be until April 19th.
Voting will take place the following week, April 22-26 between the hour of 8:00 and 3:00 p.m. and the 2 parents with the majority vote will serve on the 2024/2025 SBDM Council.

Greenup Schools will dismiss at noon today 4/11/24 for impending storms predicted to have 50MPH winds and cause flooding. Storms from last week have also created this need, as many roads were just repaired but could wash out easily. All school events this evening are canceled. Please stay safe Musketeers!
