MES would like to extend an invitation to a parent to attend their child's classroom Christmas party. Please RSVP to Attend. Link and more details are listed below:
As always at MES, our student safety is a top priority. While we love and appreciate all our families, we have a rather large student population and a limited amount of space.
To ensure that we are being as safe as possible while still allowing visitors to celebrate and experience fun times with the students, we ask that only one parent/guardian per student attend the Christmas parties. We have staggered the start times for primary and intermediate so hopefully if you have more than one child, you can visit both classrooms. K-2 parties will begin at 1:00 and 3-5 parties will begin at 1:30. You only need to fill out one form per family. We also ask that younger siblings do not attend.
Please RSVP by scanning the QR code on the red letter that was sent home with students or by clicking the link below. In doing so, we can ensure that only safe parents/guardians are attending our parties and walking into our building. We appreciate your understanding and hope you see that we take keeping your student's safety seriously. Thank you!

Introducing McKell Elementary’s first ever SAFETY PATROL! Students filled out applications to apply to be part of the MES Safety Patrol Team. Applicants were looked at very closely by administration and teachers. Students were chose based upon leadership ability, citizenship, academic performance and attendance. Selected students went through training today and received their safety belts! We can’t wait for them to start on Monday!
MES Safety Patrol Purpose:
1. Help maintain a safe school environment.
2. Spread joy and kindness to everyone.
3. Model for other students how BULLDOGS are supposed to behave and treat others.

Wear PINK on Friday!

Tomorrow, all students will be taking a field trip to the Raceland -Worthington Auditorium to see The American Pops Orchestra from Washington D.C. No additional field trip form is necessary since parents sign a field trip permission slip as part of the student data packets at the beginning of the school year.
We will be loading buses at 9 to watch a 10 o'clock show. We will return to school around 11:30. Lunch will be served at MES when we return to the school. The lunchroom is preparing hamburgers and fries. Your child can still bring their lunch from home as usual if they prefer. This is a wonderful opportunity and we are excited for the students to get to watch this amazing performance!
