Mrs. Lynd-Abdon's Students “getting a taste” of the bread Anne Frank and her family ate as they celebrated Passover.

Mrs, Caudill's classes worked on physical and chemical changes. They saw how bases (baking soda) neutralize acids (vinegar and Kool-aid). They also saw how starches react with iodine by turning black. Kids had a ball learning this topic. They also got some pics of their own to add to their Core 4 portfolio.

Last week our Agriculture class turned into educators! Some of these students have even participated in our EdRising program, which allows them opportunities to see what being a teacher is all about.
The students taught the preschool how chickens hatched and the process.
These students have another round of 100+ eggs in the incubators ready for the preschool to watch hatch. What awesome collaboration between the students and the preschool. We always appreciate them allowing us to work side by side!

Preparations for Earth Day are underway as Mrs. Fraley’s 8th grade science students planted sunflower seeds on Friday. They will taking them home to plant in their yards on Earth Day. 🌎🌻
