SPOOKY SEASON BULLETIN BOARDS In an effort to make our building look a little extra spooky, our EdRising students have been hard at work on Halloween bulletin boards. We're proud of the finished products! Great job, students!

DRAMA FIELD TRIP On Friday, drama students took a field trip to watch Frankenstein, a stage adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic novel. Afterwards, they visited the Ashland's Central Park to eat lunch and play. It was a great day, as it always is, to be a Wildcat!

HALLOWEEN DANCE Our Halloween dance couldn’t have been any scarier on Friday night! From chilling dance moves to a ghoulish costume competition, it’s safe to conclude that everyone had a spooktacular evening! 🎃👻

INDUSTRIAL ARTS FALL SALE Our Industrial Arts students have been working hard to prepare items for their fall sale that will be held on Tuesday, October 29, during the annual Storybook Trunk-or-Treat event. They will have large and small bookcases, decorative benches, a few fall items, and a few surprises! All proceeds will help to support the Industrial Arts program. We hope you’ll stop by and support our amazing Wildcats!

SPOOKY SCARY SKELETONS Students in our 3-D Design and Printing class are selling one of their latest creations, miniature skeletons, just in time for Spooky Season! They can be purchased from Mrs. Miruka Williams for $1.00 during FLEX or lunch daily.

COLLEAGUE CREDIT Mr. Scott Bowling shares that Saule Gollihue is so kind and patient with our students. She is a great asset to Wurtland Middle School, and we are proud to have her on our team!

WILDCAT OF THE WEEK Mr. Eric Boos shares that he is pleased to recommend Daniel Smith as the Wildcat of the Week for Wurtland Middle School. Daniel consistently shows leadership in class, serving as a role model for his peers with his dedication to academic excellence and a positive attitude. He is not only a top student, but he is also a kind and supportive friend, always willing to assist those in need, whether by helping classmates with their work or offering encouragement. His combination of strong leadership, academic achievement, and compassion make him a deserving choice for this recognition. We are so proud of this Wildcat!

FUNDING OF DONORS CHOOSE PROJECT Congratulations to Mrs. Mary Logsdon! Her Donors Choose project, "Bring Learning to the Table," was fully funded through Area Education Grants. Her project will help students in many ways, allowing them to use activities at tables or individual desks to complete task boxes and activities. The ultimate goal of Mrs. Logsdon's project is to reinforce independent learning during centers and/or independent work within the classroom.

A NEW POINT OF VIEW Sixth-grade students have been learning about point of view in English class. When walking into class recently, they sat at desks that had pictures to their likings. They used these pictures to write sentences using the different point of view types.
