WRITER OF THE WEEK
Mrs. Brumfield shares that Marley is a very enthusiastic writer. Students recently compiled their choices of original writings into a portfolio and wrote short reflections for each piece. Marley expressed how much she likes to write and has since elementary school. She credits this love for writing to one of her elementary teachers who encouraged her and invited her to join a writing group at school.
Marley is doing things WRITE at Wurtland Middle School!

WILDCAT OF THE WEEK
Mrs. Brumfield shares that Alexis works very hard on all of her assignments and to keep up with any work she misses when she is absent. She is very responsible and always takes care of her school work. Way to be a leader, Alexis!

WILDCAT OF THE WEEK
Mrs. Hieneman shares that Payton was recently a major help during a bus evacuation. Instead of exiting the bus immediately, she was quick to jump in and help take care of younger students who were also on the bus. Mrs. Hieneman shares that she received a phone call from the school counselor of Argillite Elementary, Mrs. Tice. Mrs. Tice shared how Payton made students feel safe, comforted, and helped them to get off the bus - before even thinking about helping herself. We are so proud of her and appreciate her heart for helping others! Thank you, Payton, for your heroic actions! You represent the characteristics of a Wurtland Middle School Wildcat!

CAREERS EVERYWHERE
Here’s a special shout-out to our librarian, Ms. Jennifer Johnson! Ms. Johnson worked hard to create a book display focused on careers and college pathways. She even went the extra mile and created a complimentary bulletin board! Thank you, Ms. Johnson!
