Nominations for 2 parent SBDM Members and 4 PTO officers will take place Tuesday April 25th through Friday April 28th 2023 at MES. Nominations can be made at the Front office of MES on theses dates 8am until 3pm. Voting will take place Monday May 1 and Tuesday May 2, 2023 at MES from 8am-3pm. You must sign in when making nominations and casting your vote. A letter is being sent home today regarding this information. Thank you and have a great day.

Reminder: This week is book fair week. Tomorrow night is Family Night from 4:30-6:00. Hotdogs, Goldfish and Juice will be served in the cafeteria. Due to family night, there will be no 21st Century and no ESS After School Tutoring after school on Tuesday, March 21st.
Also, tomorrow is PICTURE DAY. We realize that some may not want to dress up in western gear for Spring Pictures and this is perfectly fine. If you'd like to send a cowboy hat and bandana for your child to wear after their pictures, that is fine also.

MES would like to thank the Kentucky Center for School Safety for supplying each classroom a Classroom Response Backpack. These backpacks are full of supplies that will be beneficial for the teachers in the event of an emergency situation. Thank you KCSS for helping keep our students safe.
McKell Elementary spring pictures will take place on March 21st. You can use the school code on our Facebook post to order pictures online. Paper flyers will also be coming home with students soon.
We couldn't be prouder of our Academic Team and Coaches for their performance last week in Regional Governor's Cup Competition.

McKell Elementary has partnered with SchoolStore.com to help raise funds for our school. Students will be bringing home an information packet. If you or somebody you know is an online shopper, they can help MES earn a percentage of their purchase at many major stores!
McKell Elementary will be selling yearbooks this year. You can order online starting today. Paper order forms will be coming home as well. Yearbooks will be distributed to students in the fall.
Get ready bulldogs! We'll be having a St Patrick's Day Dance on Friday, March 24th from 4:30-6:00. This is for MES students K-5.
