ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CONCERT

COLLEAGUE CREDIT
Katie Williams shares that Mr. Jeremiah Haywood has stepped up this year and has taken on tons of new responsibilities. He serves on our site-based council, coaches basketball, sponsors an esports team, and leads the National Geographic classroom modules with no hesitation, in addition to the regular duties and responsibilities of a classroom teacher. Thank you, Mr. Haywood!

WILDCAT OF THE WEEK
Mrs. Long shares that, each day after class, Cooper has been going around the room and making sure that all of the chairs have been pushed in, pencils have been returned, and all areas are cleaned. He does this without Mrs. Long asking! Great job, Cooper!

VETERANS DAY CEREMONY DETAILS
This year, we have an incredibly special Veterans Day ceremony planned. The ceremony will be held at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast, and our entire school will be attending! The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, and School Resource Officer Elliott Gollihue, a veteran himself, will be this year's guest speaker. WE. ARE. EXCITED.
We will be taking lunch with us on this day, and, throughout the afternoon, we will be working to clean the graves of our American heroes in the cemetery. This will not only allow each of our students to participate in a heartfelt service project, but it will also allow them to recognize the true sacrifices associated with services to our country.
Veterans, Parents, Guardians, and Community Members: We would like to invite each of you to join us. Members of our choir and orchestra will be performing. In addition, the high school's Marine Corps JROTC will present the colors.
Parents and/or Guardians: Please make sure your son and/or daughter is dressed appropriately for this day. We are hoping the weather is fully cooperative.

MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK
EdRising students have been hard at work making some Velcro busy books for our little friends at the elementary school. Cutting, laminating, cutting some more, binding, and adding Velcro can be tedious work. We are happy to help lighten the load for our neighbors!

LEARNING IS ELECTRIC AT WMS
Today, State Electric Supply Co. brought their training kits and taught gifted students in the class of Mrs. Miruka Williams how to install push buttons and pilot lights. Students also learned how to complete a circuit using push buttons and pilot lights. Special thanks to State Electric Supply Co. and their product specialists, Ryan Williams and Brett Newland. They will be returning in the near future to work with other groups of students!
