American Legion Easter Egg Hunt!!
South Shore, KY

We want to give a HUGE shoutout to Mr. Tommy Crump! He joined the MMS team this year, and came out of retirement to do so.
Both himself and our Industrial Arts students help build our outstanding chicken coop. It even includes some old playground equipment!! We are so grateful!!

Mrs. Fraley loves our chickens so much she decided to grab a few kids and help out in the coop during her planning! Thank You Mrs. Fraley!

Passion Project Week was a huge success! Pictured here is Mr. Pack showing his love for guitar. Mr. Lowe spun some records for the kids and introduced some classics! Mr. Walker talked about golf and some traditions at the Masters. Mrs. Donini shared her love for silver back gorillas. So many more to share!! After spring break we will announce a date for a community night where students will share what they learned and their teachers passions this week.

Mrs. Donini's classes are working with a set of parallel lines with a diagonal cutting through called a transversal. They defined sets of alternate interior angles, alternate exterior angles, vertical angles, adjacent angles, corresponding angles. Paperless doesn't always mean technology is incorporated!

Thank You!
Shirley Williams who represents Woodmen Life Insurance, donated both a brand new American flag and a Commonwealth of Kentucky flag. The new flag has been raised and is flying with pride. MMS loves having support from our community! #communitypartners

We have now added Core Four banners in each of our hallways at MMS. These are the four areas in which students focus on each year to create folders of artifacts to have each school year. These items build up to use at the high school at to start the Great Eight.

March 18-22 is Teacher Passion Project week @ MMS. Each day different teachers in the building will be sharing their passions with their students. Whether it’s knitting, painting, kick boxing, letting our students see a different side of their teachers is the idea. This also allows the teachers to take a break from what they teach each and everyday. After Spring Break we will be hosting a Family Community Night, our students will then create projects over what they have learned from their teachers and show it off to the community and parents. The date for that will be shared after Spring Break! We are so excited to learn more about our teachers!!

Thank you Mr Blevins for taking an old sign and reviving it for our store front for the Bulldog Farmer's Market!
Monday we will have a limited quantity of eggs for sale and we will sale them to the first commenters on the post. See you Monday for the chance to have the FIRST laid Eggs at MMS.

Mrs. Fraleys science classes have been investigating the variation of traits in organisms. Students worked in groups, chose a monster, use its description to identify parent alleles, then completed a Punnett Square to identify sibling genotypes. They then presented their findings!

Mrs Cattell's and Mrs. Coleman's agriculture class started an embryology unit and they dissected eggs in order to review what's inside.
