McKell Middle Pi Day Celebration!
3/14 will be a fun filled day of Pi events and learning!
Students will be receiving more information via their math teachers.

On Friday, the 6th grade celebrated meeting their iReady goals for the month of February with a game of Quidditch! This is a 6th grade tradition that students love each year. Students divide into two teams to try to get their ball through a hoop, but with lots of obstacles, such as holding onto their “broomstick.” While some students ran the score board, other students cheered from the stands.

Mrs. Caudill's 7th grade Science classes had a lab on digestion finishing a body systems unit. Figuring out the digestive track isn't always the prettiest! Students made “poop” using bananas, crackers, vinegar and water. For a real world example, it doesn't get much better!!

Thank you Whitney Evans for donating lettuce seedlings to the agriculture class. Students replanted the seedlings in larger containers.
Aiden Kozee found a worm in the lettuce seedlings and pretended to eat it, but decided put the worm in the new container. No worms were harmed!!

Mrs. Sarah Lloyd, District Occupational Therapist, visited our EdRising students on Thursday!
. She shared how she became an OT, what OT is and isn’t and shared details.
We are so thankful to have Mrs. Sarah in our district! Thanks for coming to share with us!

Community and Family Friendly is our goal at MMS!
Mrs. Fraley led a food and goods drive for the Ronald McDonald House in Huntington. Students and staff in the school have brought goods in the last two weeks, while Mrs. Fraley's classes help sort and keep organized.

Mr. Spears led a Valentine's Day card drive, his Digital Literacy students designed cards for MMS students and passed them out to different FLEX classes and they colored and decorated them. Mr. Spears dropped off 100+ Valentine's Day cards to South Shore Nursing and Rehab.

It's that time of the year!
